An essay is one of the essential elements for university admission, scholarship acceptance, and employment. Essays are often considered a very frightening task for students. For many purposes, such as receiving a scholarship, preparing a class, or getting a job, many students and workers often find these tasks very burdensome. Although an essay can be viewed as a large project overall, this task can be split into several steps to divide it into viable parts. The following parts will provide the quickest way for your essay to create a successful draft for any purpose.
1- Select a topic
You may already have a given essay topic, or you may freely write your own subject. If a specific topic is given, you should think about the kind of article you want to write. Is it a general outline or specific type of analysis on this topic? You may also need to reduce your focus on writing your essay. If you are free to write without a given topic, you have a little more work to do. However, this opportunity has the advantage of allowing you to choose topics that interest you or that are relevant to you.
Finally, evaluate the options you have chosen. If your goal is to educate your readers, have them choose a subject that you have already studied. If your purpose is to persuade the reader, choose a subject that you have a passion for. Whatever the mission of the essay, be sure to select topics that you are interested in.
2- Prepare an outline or conceptual diagram of the idea
By taking what is already in your mind and moving it to paper, you can look more closely at the links between ideas. This structure is the basis of your writing. Use an outline or conceptual diagram to write down and organize your ideas. To create a conceptual diagram, take out the paper and write your topic in the middle of the page. Draw lines of 3-5 lines from this topic and write down your main idea at the end of each line. A conceptual diagram is very crucial especially when you are dealing with good argumentative essay topics.
3- Write the theme
Now that you have selected your topic and categorized your ideas into related items, you should create a theme for your essay. The topic sentence tells you the essence of your essay. See an overview or conceptual diagram that has already been created. What are your main ideas?
Topic consists of two parts. The first part lists the subject of the essay, and the second part describes the essence of this essay.
4- Write the text
The text of your essay discusses, explains, and describes your topic. Each major idea you write in your conceptual diagram or outline will form a separate section within your essay body.
Each paragraph in the text should basically have the same structure. The beginning of the article is one of your main ideas as an introduction. Next, write down the detailed ideas that support each major idea in sentence form. At this time, leave 2 to 4 lines of space between each detail idea and come back and write down specific examples that can support your position under each detail idea. These examples should provide relevant and informative information that is able to connect closely with each other detailed ideas around the topic.
Of course there are still some other parts that need to be done to realize a perfect essay, but the 4 sections above are the foundation for the following sections.
